DataSwitcher was founded in 2017 when we faced an universal problem: data migration between accounting systems was painful, slow, and insecure. As software consultants setting up clients on new accounting platforms, we discovered that data migration was consistently one of the biggest roadblocks. What should have been an exciting upgrade became a dreaded, time-consuming process.

The turning point came when we were implementing a major accounting system for a client who needed to migrate 8 years of transaction history. Our options were manually convert thousands of transactions, to outsource with security concerns, or ask the client to abandon their historical data.
So we built a better solution, focusing first on security, reliability, and automation. We invested heavily upfront to create technology that was truly secure and robust, using the latest security protocols and performance techniques rather than plugging gaps with manual intervention.
